Senior TDP leader and Rajahmundry (Rural) MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary has left the yellow party reeling after his plans to resign have gone viral.
The three-time MLA, who is planning to resign from his post and the party, has reportedly expressed his unhappiness with the party's leadership and has alleged that it has not been "encouraging" TDP loyalists.
Vocalising his dissatisfaction with party supremo N Chandrababu Naidu, he has claimed that the TDP high command has been encouraging a faction of leaders led by his rival Adi Reddy.
Many believe the root of his unhappiness lies in the fact that the TDP supremo refused to give some of Chowdary's followers in the party high posts. In fact, some close aides of his claim that he was left fuming because the members of the high command had refused to even answer his calls.
Choudhary had earlier made sensational comments against the party leadership in March this year as well.
But following this more recent outburst, the TDP high command sent MP Nimmakayala Chinarajappa to pacify the Rajahmundry MLA by arranging a meeting of the dissatisfied leader and Naidu.
Further, Naidu had also reportedly called the disgruntled MLA personally to enquire about his problems.
The TDP seems to be facing endless setbacks not only in AP but in Telangana too - last month, former TDP state chief L Ramana had
resigned from the party to join the TRS. Just days later, in AP, former Sringavarapukota MLA Shobha Hymavathi had also
put in her papers.
