The newly constructed government primary and high school building in Erramanzil (aka Irrum Manzil) in the city will be inaugurated on Monday.
The school was operating in its old building in the area currently allotted for the newly-constructed NIMS complex. In the context of the construction of the new blocks as part of the expansion of NIMS, it was decided to construct new buildings for the school as well.
As part of this, MEIL (Megha Engineering) has constructed a new two-storey building with 40 rooms. The building will be inaugurated on Monday by Hyderabad district in-charge minister Ponnam Prabhakar in the presence of local MLA Danam Nagender, GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, corporator Vijaya Reddy, NIMS Director Beerappa, MEIL Projects Department President K Govardhana Reddy, MEIL Project Manager Balabommu Nagendrababu and others.
Separate rooms for the primary and high school principals, a library, a lab etc have been constructed on the two floors. 400 students are currently studying in this school. The new building can handle it even if the number of students increases by another 300. Its design also allows for the construction of the two more floors in the future.
A new building is also being constructed for the Ravindra Niketan Aided School located in the same area. 200 students are studying in this school. The construction is underway, and the building will be inaugurated soon.
