Veteran BJP leader Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao today exuded confidence about the BJP's future in Telangana.
Addressing the media after offering prayers at the Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy temple in Vikarabad, the former Maharashtra Governor claimed that the party would surely come to power very soon.
"Telangana has become a separate state as a result of the support of the BJP. The people of the state are aware of this, and are slowly beginning to support the party. Their growing support helped us
win the Dubbaka by-election, and to do well in the recent
GHMC elections. We will soon be able to supplant the TRS completely with their help," he said.
The veteran politician also praised BJP state head Bandi Sanjay Kumar for working hard to consolidate the position of the party in Telangana.
"Sanjay has been working very hard to establish the party in the state. With his continued efforts, we will surely go on to win the upcoming Assembly elections in the state very easily," he said.
Reports indicate that it is likely that the seasoned leader will play a critical role in driving the BJP campaign for the 2023 elections in the state.
The BJP, emboldened by its recent successes in the state, is now preparing itself to win the upcoming Assembly elections. Many party leaders, including
Bandi Sanjay Kumar, have repeatedly reiterated that the party will defeat the TRS in the elections.
