RDO In ACB Net For Rs 25,000 Bribe In Narayanpet

Pathlavath Ramachander had demanded a bribe to approve late birth certificate registrations for the complainant and four others.

Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) Pathlavath Ramachander was today caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Mahabubnagar Range, while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000.

According to the ACB officials, the officer had demanded the bribe from a complainant for approving a file related to the late registration of birth certificates for the complainant and four others.

Acting on the complaint, the officials verified the allegations and laid a trap, during which the officer was caught accepting the amount. The tainted money was recovered from his possession.

He is being arrested and will be produced before the Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases Court in Nampally, Hyderabad. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act, and further investigation is underway.
