Bandi Mocks KTR For Reacting To His Drug Charges After Six Months

Reacting to the comments of BRS working president K T Rama Rao about being willing to take drug tests, Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar alleged that the minister was challenging him only after preparing himself to get a clean chit in the tests.

Speaking to media persons today, Bandi scoffed at KTR challenging him over the tests six months after he had made the challenge. He also asked KTR why he did not react to the challenge made by the TPCC chief on the same issue, and said that KTR had instead gotten a court order restraining his political rivals from taking his name. He said that KTR would be exposed if an investigation was conducted into the Hyderabad drugs' case, and demanded a thorough investigation into the case. He also said that KTR could simply prove his innocence in court if he did not indeed commit any mistake.

Referring to the allegations of KTR that he (Bandi) was a habitual tobacco chewer, Bandi asked the minister if he had any evidence to support his allegations. He also asked KTR why he was not talking about the Delhi liquor case in which his sister's name figured.

Sanjay also took strong objection to the language used by KTR against him, but also said that the BJP leaders and workers had at the language.

For the unversed, coming down heavily on Bandi Sanjay at a media conference in Sircilla, KTR had said that he was ready to give all the necessary samples to prove that he did not consume drugs, and had asked Sanjay whether he would slap himself with his chappal at the Karimnagar crossroads if all his (KTR's) samples tested negative.
