BRS legislators came down heavily on Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Revanth Reddy and BJP Telangana president Bandi Sanjay for "provocative" statements, and alleged that the leaders were both talking in an uncivilized manner to provoke the people.
After Revanth Reddy's call to Maoists to blow up Pragathi Bhavan, the official bungalow of CM K Chandrashekar Rao, with grenades kicked up a big political row, Sanjay too made a similar comment on Friday, saying that if the BJP was voted to power in Telangana, it would demolish the domes of the newly-built State secretariat that he claimed reflected the culture of the Nizams.
Sharply reacting to the statements of both Reddy and Sanjay, minister Niranjan Reddy and other BRS MLAs including Guvvala Balaraju, Nannapaneni Narender, Padma Devender Reddy and Jajala Surender said that the leaders from both parties had lost credibility among the people, and that the high commands of their respective parties needed to remove them from their posts immediately.
The minister also urged DGP Anjan Kumar to register cases against Reddy and Sanjay for issuing provocative statements and creating unrest in the State.
Terming the domes of the newly-constructed State secretariat as engineering marvels, Niranjan Reddy pointed out that the Supreme Court building and Telangana Assembly building too had such domes, and asked Sanjay if he would dare to call for the demolitions of those structures, too.
Meanwhile, Public Account Committee Chairman and BRS MLA Jeevan Reddy condemned the inflammatory comments of both Revanth Reddy and Bandi Sanjay, and alleged that the two leaders were speaking like terrorists.
