Former minister and recent BRS convert Jeevan Reddy today hailed BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao's public meeting in Jagtial as a massive success, and likened it to the spirit of the Telangana movement.
He claimed that the gathering reflected a growing public desire for political change.
Launching a sharp attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Jeevan Reddy accused the Congress government of failing to deliver on key promises, including the Rythu Bandhu scheme and the Rs 2,500 monthly assistance to women. He also lamented that farmers were facing hardships and that welfare systems such as Gurukul institutions were being weakened.
Reddy also alleged neglect of the education sector, and said that no review meetings had been conducted so far. He accused the Congress government of in general misleading the public under the banner of Praja Palana.
The new BRS convert also targeted Revanth Reddy over past controversies, including the infamous note-for-vote scam, and accused him of acting under external political influence. He criticised the CM's rhetoric as undignified and claimed that it stemmed from an inability to accept KCR's continued popularity.
