To mark the upcoming birth anniversary of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, on February 17, the TRS has planned several programs in the city and across the state.
After the TRS announced on February 13 that
a massive tree plantation drive would be conducted to mark the occasion, Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today unveiled more plans for the same.
Speaking after releasing a CD, comprising songs sung by singers Rahul Sipligunj and Madhu Priya dedicated to the CM, he said that a documentary capturing the major milestones of the CM's life would be released at Jalavihar on his birth anniversary.
Yadav added that on the occasion, several pujas and abhishekas would be conducted in the temples of the twin cities for the CM's wellbeing, including at the Sri Ujjaini Mahakali Devasthnam in Secunderabad, and that MLC K Kavitha, KCR's daughter, would offer a golden saree to the goddess at the Balkampet Yellamma Pochamma temple in Hyderabad.
"We are organising a saree distribution event for 300 beneficiaries as well. In addition to these programs, a fruit distribution event will also be organised for the poor of the city, and we will present offerings at the Dargah Hazrat Shah Khamosh in Nampally," the minister said.
