CM Launches Works Worth Rs 5,827 Crore In GHMC
Revanth Reddy also laid the foundation for clearing pending roadwork projects and unveiled a new online building and layout approvals system.

As part of the Praja Palana Vijayotsavam celebrations, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today virtually inaugurated various development works worth Rs 5,827 crore under the GHMC jurisdiction.
The development works include infrastructure development projects worth Rs 3,446 crore under the Hyderabad City Infrastructure and Transportation Initiative (HCITI) Phase-1, beautification of roads and city junctions worth Rs 150 crore, storm water drainage and flood water management initiatives with an estimated cost of Rs 17 crore to prevent water stagnation, sewage treatment plants to be built by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) at a cost of Rs 669 crore, 19 reservoirs around the Outer Ring Road with an investment of Rs 45 crore to enhance drinking water supply to the surrounding areas, and road development works of Rs 1,500 crore under the Hyderabad Roads and Development Corporation Limited (HRDCL).
The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stones for clearing pending roadwork projects. He also unveiled a new Artificial Intelligence-integrated software for online building and layout approvals, which is set to go live in February 2025 streamlining the approval process for urban projects.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that those initiatives aimed to address key urban challenges including infrastructure gaps, flood water management and efficient urban planning, while bolstering Hyderabad's position as a leading global city.
