Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today announced developmental projects worth Rs 694.50 crore for the Rajanna Sircilla district, aiming to enhance infrastructure, education, healthcare and welfare in the region.
The CM also distributed Rs 85 lakh in compensation to the families of 17 Gulf migrants who passed away, and disbursed loans worth Rs 102 crore to 631 Shiva Shakti women self-help groups.
Key highlights of the initiatives:
- Sri Raja Rajeswara Swamy temple development: Laying the foundation stone for Rs 76 crore worth of development works, including improvements near Dharmagundam - Construction of a dining hall (Anna Prasadam building) at a cost of Rs 35.25 crore in the Sri Raja Rajeswara Swamy temple - Launch of a Rs 45 crore road-widening project from the Mula Vagu bridge to the Sri Raja Rajeswara Swamy temple - Medical college and hostel block in the district valued at Rs 166 crore (bhoomi puja performed) - Inauguration of a Rs 50 crore textile depot to boost the handloom sector - Foundation laid for a Rs 52 crore high-level bridge in the Konaraopet mandal, and for a Rs 3 crore drainage system - Indiramma Housing project: Commencement of a Rs 235 crore housing project to benefit 4,696 Mid-Manair reservoir oustees - Educational infrastructure: Initiating a junior college in the Medipalli mandal and an advanced technology centre in Rudrangi mandal
The CM also inaugurated the following:
- A new SP office building in Sircilla, constructed at an expense of Rs 26 crore - A district library in Vemulawada, built at an expense of Rs 1.45 crore - A working women's hostel constructed at an expense of Rs 4.80 crore
