Telangana, Hiroshima Discuss Mutual Cooperation
A delegation led by CM Revanth Reddy met the Deputy Governor of the Hiroshima Prefecture in Japan and discussed avenues for mutual cooperation.

The TelanganaRising delegation led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today met the Deputy Governor of Hiroshima Prefecture (State government) in Japan and discussed potential avenues for mutual cooperation between Telangana and Hiroshima.
The Chief Minister extended warm greetings and appreciated the hospitality of the Hiroshima Prefectural government. He spoke of the city's global leadership in peace, resilience and technological advancement, and also affirmed Telangana's commitment to innovation, sustainability and peace.
IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu presented a comprehensive overview of sectors where both regions could work together. They included clean technology and waste-to-energy initiatives, municipal waste processing, sewage treatment and renewable energy.
The two sides also discussed urban innovation and infrastructure development, with Telangana inviting Hiroshima's expertise in disaster-resilient design, underground metro engineering and smart city solutions for Hyderabad.
In terms of industrial cooperation, the delegation proposed the creation of a "Hiroshima-Telangana Automotive and Mobility Corridor" focused on electric vehicles, electronics and advanced manufacturing.
Both sides also agreed to strengthen ties in education and cultural exchange programs, including academic partnerships and student research collaborations between the Hiroshima Institute of Technology and leading universities in Telangana.
The representatives also committed to expanding cooperation in culture, peace and tourism - exploring initiatives such as peace parks, cultural exhibitions and the promotion of Buddhist heritage.
