Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development K T Rama Rao announced that Rs 45 crore has been sanctioned for the development of the Kamareddy Assembly constituency.
Rao along with Minister for Roads and Buildings Vemula Prashanth Reddy inaugurated a six-lane road, a welcome arch, central lighting, and median and road dividers built at a cost of Rs 28 crores in the Kamareddy municipality on Monday.
Addressing the media at the R&B Circle in the town, Rao praised Kamareddy MLA and Government Whip Gampa Govardhan for taking up development activities effectively in his constituency, and said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had granted another Rs 25 crore for the development of the constituency.
Apart from the Rs 25 crore granted by the Chief Minister, the Municipal Administration department had also sanctioned another Rs 20 crore for the development of roads and the construction of a stadium in the Kamareddy municipality, Rao said.
