BRS working president K T Rama Rao has intensified election campaigning in the Kamareddy constituency from where Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is contesting.
Addressing the people in the constituency at road shows, KTR said, "Current wires were used to dry clothes during the days of the Congress government, but now we fear touching them. The Congress has no moral right to talk about the power supply in the State, as the party failed to give high quality power supply even for a few hours a day. The situation in the State completely changed after KCR became the Chief Minister."
KTR also criticized the Congress leader Revanth Reddy, who he claimed was talking about providing only a three-hour power supply to the farmers, who could use 10 pH pump sets in their fields. The minister also claimed that the Congress leaders felt Rythu Bandhu was a waste, and wanted to remove Dharani and bring the patwari system into the place. He said that clearly the Congress leaders had no clue about the farming sector, and asked the people to reject such leaders and vote for the BRS, which gave paramount importance to the welfare of the farmers in the State.
KTR also said that there were beedi workers in 16 States, but Telangana was the only State where they were given pensions. He also said that the pension was a meagre Rs 200 during the Congress governance, but after KCR became the CM it became Rs 2,000, which was 10 times that. He also said that the pension would be increased to Rs 5,000 if KCR became CM for the third time.
KTR claimed that the Kamareddy constituency would see a total transformation as KCR himself was contesting from there, and appealed to the people to vote for the BRS and elect KCR with a huge majority.
