Minister and BRS Working President K T Rama Rao today urged the people of the State not to fall into the "trap of false promises" being made by the opposition leaders, and said that the people should judge for themselves in which government's tenure Telangana had developed the most.
Addressing the meeting after the inauguration of an education campus built at the cost of Rs 8.5 crore at Yellareddypet in Rajanna Sircilla district, Rao said that during the last 57 years the Telangana region had been neglected in all sectors, including education, power and irrigation, and that the people were denied of basic amenities.
However, since the formation of Telangana State, the region had been developed in a planned manner under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, and the BRS government had overcome the problems of power, irrigation and drinking water supply, he claimed.
Rao also criticised BJP MP Bandi Sanjay for levelling "baseless" remarks against the State government, and asked him to speak about the Telangana people after bringing funds from the BJP government at the Centre.
Claiming that Sircilla district stood in the number one position in all areas, the minister said that the infrastructure in government schools across the district had specifically improved dramatically, and that the enrollment of students in government schools had increased unprecedentedly.
