TRS president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao called upon the TRS cadre to work together for the victory of the party's candidate in the by-election for the Munugodu Assembly constituency seat.
After the TRS president announced the name of Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy as the party's candidate for the Munugodu by-election, party leaders Karne Prabhakar (a former MLC) and Bura Narsaiah Goud (former Bhongir MP), who were also aspirants for the ticket, met the CM at Pragathi Bhavan.
During the meeting, KCR informed Prabhakar and Goud that the name of Reddy had been finalised after taking into consideration survey reports, and asked the two leaders to work for the success of Reddy.
Speaking to the media after meeting with KCR, Goud said that KCR had promised that his services would be utilised at the national level following the launch of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi.
Prabhakar said that there was nothing wrong with many persons aspiring for the party ticket, and that KCR had explained why the ticket was given to Reddy.
"KCR asked us to work for the success of the party's candidate in the by-election. He promised that opportunities would come to all leaders in the future, and that justice would be done to everyone based on the circumstances," he said.
Both Prabhakar and Goud denied allegations of differences among the party cadre in the constituency, and vowed that they would strive hard for the victory of the party's candidate in the by-election.
