Congress candidate for the Munugodu Assembly by-election Palvai Sravanthi today said that it was confirmed beyond doubt that party MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy was harming her chances of winning the by-election.
Referring to the
audio clip of Reddy that came into the news yesterday where he was seen urging a Congress leader to enable his brother Rajagopal Reddy, who is the BJP candidate for the same election, to win, Sravanthi said although the audio was not clear, she was able to realise that the MP was actually working against her.
She said that she was hurt by the words and actions of the MP. Pointing out that the MP had promised to campaign for her in the by-election, she said that Venkat Reddy should have made it clear to her that he would not campaign for her if it was not his intention to do so.
She said that she was however too busy with her campaigning to pay attention the MP, and that the party high command would take care of the issue.
