AICC secretary and MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, on Tuesday, accused Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu of reversing his stand on Telangana statehood.
Talking to reporters in the Assembly premises, Ponguleti said that Naidu had earlier written a letter to the Centre supporting the formation of Telangana, and that when Telangana was announced by the Congress Working Committee on July 30, he wrote another letter to Manmohan Singh, asking the Centre to bear the cost of Rs. 4-5 lakh crore for the new capital of Andhra Pradesh. "Naidu now appears to have reversed his stand, as he is demanding an all-party panel to address the concerns of Seemandhra people," he said.
Ponguleti also condemned the remarks of TDP MP CM Ramesh against Congress president Sonia Gandhi during the debate in Rajya Sabha on Monday. (INN)
