AICC secretary and MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Wednesday demanded that the Telangana TDP Forum convince its party president N Chandrababu Naidu to attend the all-party meeting on the Telangana issue being held on December 28.
Talking to reporters, Ponguleti said that the TDP chief must clarify his stand on the statehood issue, and that thus, he himself should participate in the all-party meeting.
He said that Naidu's presence in the meeting would ensure that the TDP does not come up with conflicting versions on the subject of statehood. He said that the Congress leaders have already said that they would abide by Sonia Gandhi's decision on the matter.
Ponguleti also condemned the ongoing tussle between TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao and YSRCP leader Konda Surekha in Warangal. He said that both the leaders were resorting to political blackmail, and that their fight to political supremacy has affected students and the business community. (INN)
