Almost all opposition party leaders of Telangana slammed the TRS government on the fourth Telangana Formation Day today.
Telangana TDP president L Ramana said that the Rs 4,000 assistance per acre to farmers under the Rythu Bandhu scheme was an election gimmick, claiming that some 4,000 farmers had resorted to suicides due to the government's apathy so far but only 400 of them had been given compensation, showing that real concern the TRS had for the farmers.
TJS leader Kodandaram expressed similar thoughts, and asked the state government how many problems of the farmers would be solved with the Rs. 4,000 per acre scheme. He also accused the TRS government of being on top in corruption.
Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy said that KCR was showing a "Bangaru Telangana cinema" to the citizens, and that the Congress would show "
Rangasthalam" to KCR, who was deceiving the people every day.
CPI Telangana secretary Chada Venkat Reddy alleged that the four-year TRS rule was monarchic, and that the government was suppressing the people's movements by using the police and arresting the people if they asked for their rights.
Telangana BJP president Dr K Laxman termed the KCR government corrupt, and said that it was noted across the country for nepotism and family rule. He also alleged that the CM had promised a Bangaru Telangana but had turned the state into a debt-ridden Telangana due to his wrong policies. The state government had submitted budgets of Rs 4.55 lakh crores in the last four years, but had borrowed Rs 2 lakh crores from outside, he claimed.
