The indefinite hunger strike by YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy came to an end on the 7th day on Saturday, due to his deteriorating health.
According to sources, doctors at Nizam's Institute Of Medical Sciences forcibly administered IV fluids to him after his health started declining. After futile attempts in convincing him to end his fast, doctors got permission to give him intravenous fluids from the Chanchalguda Jail authorities.
Earlier, doctors described Jagan's condition as critical, and feared that there was a chance that he would faint any time, as his body had lost strength and he could no longer stand. His body temperature, BP, sugar levels and pulse had reportedly seen drastic drops. He was shifted to NIMS from the Osmania General Hospital for better treatment. (INN)
