YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is likely to be discharged from the Nizam's Institute Of Medical Sciences on Wednesday.
Jagan, who was lodged in Chanchalguda Jail in relation to the Disproportionate Assets case, was admitted to NIMS on Friday, after his health deteriorated due to 6 days of an indefinite hunger strike that he undertook protesting against the proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
He was first moved to the Osmania General Hospital, and then to NIMS, after his party members complained of "lack of proper treatment". After his health started deteriorating further, doctors at NIMS forcibly administered IV fluids to him, thus ending his fast, on Saturday.
According to doctors at NIMS, there has been a significant improvement in Jagan's health, and he might be discharged in the next 2-3 days. Jagan, who was being given liquid food, was reportedly given semi-solid food on Sunday. His health is being monitored by a team of 8 doctors.
After being discharged from NIMS, Jagan will be shifted back to Chanchalguda Jail. (INN)
