Former minister and BJP MLA Eatala Rajender today claimed that the TRS had won the by-election in the Munugodu Assembly constituency only because of the support of the MIM and the Left parties.
He also claimed that the local police had played an important role in the victory of the ruling party.
Speaking to the media, Eatala claimed that a total of 18,900 TRS leaders and workers had worked hard for the victory of the TRS candidate, and that the ruling party had also deployed one SI for every five villages of the constituency.
He said that despite all of that, the BJP had blossomed in the undivided Nalgonda district, the defeat in Munugodu notwithstanding.
He added that the movement of rival party leaders into the BJP would not stop in the State, and termed the TRS party as a weakening lamp.
Heaping praises on the defeated BJP candidate Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy, Eatala said that Reddy had behaved in a dignified manner even after losing the election.
He said that the BJP would also rise in Khammam district in the next Assembly elections.
