Hyderabad | 1st November 2022
TRS and BJP activists clashed with each other in the Munugodu Assembly constituency today.

They attacked each other with stones and sticks.

The incident took place in Palivela of the constituency when the activists of the two parties were carrying out their by-election campaigning.

Stones were pelted on the convoy of BJP MLA and former minister Eatala Rajender, who was taking part in the campaigning, leading to the clashes.

The police entered the scene and dispersed the warring activists of the two parties.

Speaking on the occasion, Eatala alleged that the police had not taken any action against the TRS activists, staying merely mute spectators during the attack. He alleged that two ruling party MLAs and two ZP chairpersons were behind the attack, and claimed that his gunmen and PA had sustained injuries in the attack, and that 15 vehicles in his convoy were damaged.

The MLA said that he had come to the village to have lunch with the villagers along with his wife, and that a huge number of villagers had gathered for that.

Claiming that the BJP knew how to retaliate to such attacks in kind, he claimed that his party workers and he had still maintained patience during the entire attack.

He asserted that they were carrying out their by-election campaigning in a democratic manner, and claimed that the TRS workers had attacked them as the TRS was in frustration due to survey reports that it was losing the elections.

He said that the BJP was not scared of the ruling party leaders, and that it was going to win the by-election by a comfortable majority.
