The BJP candidate for the Munugodu Assembly constituency by-election Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy today conceded defeat.
Speaking to the media after his defeat, he said that he respected the verdict of the people of the constituency.
He however turned sore loser, complaining that 100 TRS MLAs including state ministers had camped in Munugodu to defeat him, and said that he had won a moral victory in the constituency given that.
He also targeted the local police and alleged that the force, and the whole of the rest of the administration, had worked in favour of the ruling party. He claimed that with the administration's support, TRS leaders stayed in Munugodu till the evening of November 3, distributing money and liquor to induce the voters to vote for the party.
He also said that the outcome was not a victory for the TRS but a mere number game.
Also targeting the CPI and CPM leaders, he alleged that they had sold themselves to KCR for money, and that the votes of the supporters of those two parties had also helped the TRS win the by-election.
