TRS Sweeps Telangana Municipal Elections
The ruling TRS swept the municipal elections in Telangana, bagging the majority in an ooverwhelming number of municipalities and municipal corporations.

At the time of the filing of this report, the TRS had bagged 109 out of the 120 municipalities in the state that went in for elections.
The Congress got four municipalities, the BJP three, the MIM two, and others two.
The TRS won eight of the nine municipal corporations. The people of the Nizamabad corporation gave hung results.
Surprisingly, in the municipality of Bhainsa, the TRS failed to win a single ward (the MIM won the municipality with 15 of 26 wards).
