Agreeing with K T Rama Rao's opinion on the TDP, Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy today asserted that the Party had vanished from Telangana and that the leader of its regional chapter A Revanth Reddy was grasping at the last straw to project TDP's existence in the State.
Addressing the media on Thursday, the Home Minister lashed out at Revanth Reddy for making "derogatory" remarks against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Terming the TDP leader a "immature", Narsimha Reddy said that the former lacked a firm standing to comment against the honest and charismatic persona of KCR. He called out Revanth Reddy on his "pre-poll gimmick".
He added that Revanth Reddy was acting under the directions of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in an attempt to protect TDP's interests which were no longer in sync with the aspirations of the Telangana public.
Narasimha Reddy also suggested that Reddy abstain from making personal remarks against a prominent figure such as the CM and maintain political correctness.
The TRS leader went on to praise the CM for his developmental works in Telangana, and said that the government had started several welfare schemes and development programs including KCR envisioned of completing all current and future projects in the State with a budget allocation of Rs. 25,000 crores per year.
The Home Minister also stated that no other CM or government could have taken up and finished such mega initiatives including restoring nine-hours of power supply for the agriculture sector and restoring groundwater table via Mission Kakatiya.
