Reacting to the Telangana Assembly election results, TDP chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today said that he would respect the people's verdict in Telangana, where the TRS won two-thirds majority.
Speaking to media persons, Naidu extended his greetings to his Telangana counterpart and TRS president K Chandrashekar Rao for winning the mandate in the polls, and also congratulated all the candidates who had won the election.
It may be recalled that Naidu participated in the election campaign in Hyderabad and Khammam along with Congress president Rahul Gandhi, and mounted a scathing attack on the TRS government for its failures.
The Congress-led Praja Kutami, of which the TDP is a partner, managed to secure only 21 seats among which, the TDP won two.
