Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP president Chandrababu Naidu today commented on the poll survey conducted by former Congress MP and AP industrialist Lagadapati Rajgopal, which predicted victory for the Praja Kutami in the December 7 Telangana Assembly elections.
Participating in an election meeting at Sattupally in Khammam district, Naidu said that even Lagadapati's survey stated that the Praja Kutami was leading the race.
Taking a dig at KCR for his comments against the results, Naidu said that when Lagadapati had conducted a survey two months ago and said that the TRS would win 90 seats, KCR appreciated the survey, and now that the survey predicted the victory of the Praja Kutami, he (KCR) was criticising Lagadapati.
Earlier survey had predicted that TRS would win 65 to 70 seats, but the latest survey said that the TRS would lose the elections.
Separately, Lagadapati reacting to a tweet of KTR which alleged that the survey was changed under the pressure of the TDP chief, clarified that he was not the kind of a person who would change the results under anybody's pressure, and added that he gives importance to character over individual.
Addressing the public meeting, Naidu described KCR as an “opportunist” and a liar, and alleged that KCR had become a problem to Telangana, and that he would be known as a former CM after December 11.
Naidu also said that KCR never met the people or visited the rural areas after becoming the Telangana CM, and alleged that he was now meeting the people just for votes.
Naidu said that Telangana was a rich state and had a revenue-surplus after bifurcation, and alleged that KCR made the state as debt-ridden. He also took a jibe at KCR and said that the Telangana CM had not gone to the secretariat even on a single day.
Claiming that this election would be the last election for the TRS, Naidu claimed that people were not attending the public meetings of KCR, and demanded to know what had prevented KCR from providing double-bedroom houses, water to every house, making a dalit as the CM, distribution of three acres of land to the dalits and making a woman as a minister.
Naidu said that the Praja Kutami had the required efficiency to put the administration back on track in Telangana and appealed to the voters to help the alliance come to power.
