Nizamabad MP Madhu Yashki Goud, on Sunday, accused Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao of diluting the statehood movement by aiming to win 100 Assembly seats in the next elections.
Talking to reporters, Madhu Yashki said that the TRS chief should clarify whether his ultimate goal is to obtain statehood for the region of Telangana or to empower himself politically.
Yashki said that it was ridiculous to claim that the TRS would be able to achieve a separate Telangana if the party wins 100 seats in the coming elections.
Yashki further questioned KCR's real motives when he asked what the need was to organize different movements under the garb of getting statehood for Telangana, when all KCR wants is to win the 2014 elections.
The Nizamabad MP also repudiated allegations that he was preventing the Telangana Congress MPs from joining the TRS. He said that the TRS leaders were leveling allegations against him as he had questioned the relationship between K V P Ramachandra Rao and KCR. (INN)
