Telenagana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao, along with his entire family of 12 members, called on AICC President Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi on Sunday.
Speaking to media personnel later, KCR said that he had met Sonia Gandhi only to thank her for granting statehood to the Telangana region.
He said that the collective dream of Telangana had become a reality only due to the efforts of Sonia Gandhi. During the 10-minute meeting, KCR also submitted a report on Telangana to the Congress president.
The TRS chief said that he will discuss political issues with Digvijay Singh later. Stating that he would stay in the national capital for another five days, he said that he will meet Sonia Gandhi again after meeting Digvijay Singh.
KCR informed that he would also meet President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh to thank them for their support towards the new state. (INN)
