The Telangana Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Forum's Telangana Ranabheri, the party's response to Nagam Janardhan Reddy's Telangana Nagara, is scheduled to commence at 12 noon in Karimnagar, on Wednesday.
Telangana Ranabheri has been facing stiff opposition for various fronts ever since it was announced on Tuesday.
Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman M Kodandaram, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) members, T Congress leaders, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Kakatiya University JAC (KUJAC) activists and T TDP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy are among those whose vehemently opposed the conduction of the Ranabheri.
The Telangana TDP Forum reportedly intends to claim to people that they, too, are warriors of the Telangana statehood issue, and that the TRS and the Congress were trying to delay the formation of the state. Party rebels Nagam and Harishwar Rao are also expected to be discussed at the Ranabheri.
Errabelli Dayakar Rao stated that the Forum will not permit anyone to disrupt their meeting, especially the TRS.
Reacting to the OUJAC's demand that the TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu shoot a letter to Union Home Minister P Chidambaram pressing him to intiate the process of Telangana formation, Errabelli said that Naidu had already written to Pranab Mukherjee on the issue a few years ago, and that the party chief need not repeat the task.
The T TDP Forum chair revealed that the Telangana Ranabheri would be conducted in all Telangana districts.
Anticipating trouble, police forces were deployed in large numbers to ensure the maintenance of peace and order at the venue.
