The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) politburo, that met on Thursday morning, has reportedly decided to immediately address the troubles plaguing the state's farmers.
Emerging from the meeting, a member of the party stated that the TDP resents the fact that the state's farmers are resorting to burning their paddy on the streets to draw the government's attention to their problems.
It has been announced that a few TDP members would visit the market yards at each of the
10 districts that the CM deployed IAS officers to. This tour is set to begin on Friday, and will take place over 4 days.
The party has declared that it will also block all main roads in Hyderabad, including national highways, on Saturday, under the leadership of actor-turned-politician Harikrishna.
A few members of the TDP had on Wednesday evening conducted rail rokos in the district of West Godavari, demanding that the government ensure that the farmers get the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for their produce. The leaders had also warned the authorities that they would intensify their agitations if the government doesn't respond favourably.
