BJP floor leader E Lakshminarayana on Thursday reiterated that his party would support the Telangana Bill, both in the State Legislative Assembly and in Parliament.
Talking to reporters at the Assembly's media point here, Lakshminarayana said that the BJP would extend all the required help to ensure that the Telangana Bill gets passed in both the Houses.
However, he said that if the Congress-led UPA government fails to pass the Bill, then the BJP would announce statehood to Telangana region as soon as it comes to power after the 2014 elections.
Lakshminarayana also welcomed the decision taken by BJP's Central leadership to not supporting the No Confidence Motion moved by the Seemandhra MPs of Congress party, against their own government at the Centre. (INN)
