Modi, Amit Shah, Rahul Gandhi Lying To People: KCR

The TRS supremo accused PM Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah and AICC president Rahul Gandhi of lying blatantly in their election meetings In Telangana.
Hyderabad | 29th November 2018
TRS supremo and caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah, and AICC president Rahul Gandhi, of telling blatant lies during their public meetings, and said he would play a pivotal role at the Centre to bring in a non-Congress and non-BJP government in the 2019 elections.

"I am sure that during the next elections in the Centre, a non-BJP and non-Congress alliance will come to power, and I will be playing a key role in that," KCR said amid applause at some public meetings he addressed in north Telangana, including Adilabad, Mandamarri, Chennur and Bellampally.

The TRS chief promised to address all the important issues of the region, and urged the people to give a thumping majority to the TRS candidates, including Jogu Ramanna, Balka Suman, Chinnaiah and others, to enable the party to develop their segments like never before.

Under continuous fire by top BJP leaders including Shah, KCR slammed the Prime Minister for misguiding the people of Telangana with wrong information. "Modi should get checked his eyes in our Kanti Velugu camps and then see the development and welfare programs in the state," he suggested.

He also demanded that Modi tell the people why the BJP-ruled states were not implementing schemes of the Telangana government including 24-hour power to the farm sector, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima, Kalyana Lakshmi, Shaadi Mubarak, pensions, and support for fishermen and Yadavas.

"Mr Modi and Mr Shah, if you have the courage, then give a reply. Have you, in the 19 states where the BJP is in power, give 24-hour power supply to the farmers as we have done in Telangana? Have you reduced even a single rupee in farm loans? Did a single BJP-ruled state give Rs 1,000 welfare pension or pensions to single women?" Rao asked.

"When we ask for increase in reservations for STs and Muslims based on their increased population, Modi and Shah reject it outright. Should people from these sections in Telangana not receive their rightful benefits?" he continued.

"Does Modi have anything to show other than his Mann Ki Baat? Peekindemi ledu kaani rashtram loki vachi matladutaru (there have done nothing but they come here and talk big)," the caretaker Chief Minister scoffed. "How long will you keep promoting differences in society, and try to divide people on religious lines?"

He also slammed the Centre for its hegemony on education, healthcare, power and other important sectors, and for turning the states into civic bodies by denying them powers and funds.

He also took serious exception to Rahul Gandhi for reading out "a false script prepared by the TPCC which lacks knowledge and common sense".

Appealing to the people to vote for the TRS, Rao said, "You should give thought to what the TRS government has done. It has given you continuous power supply. It has implemented many welfare schemes for the weak and the downtrodden, and for farmers. In contrast, in 58 years of their rule, the Congress and the TDP did not do anything. Elect a party that has demonstrated that it cares for the people, not one that continues to make promises after having failed to do anything for nearly six decades," he added.

Meanwhile, TDP chief and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu sought to know during a road show in Hyderabad in support of the TDP candidate, which alliance KCR would be joining.

"Is it the BJP front, the non-BJP alliance comprising the Congress, the TDP, West Bengal CM Mamata Benarjee and other like-minded parties, or any other?" Naidu asked.
