Rail Projects Of Rs 5,012 Crore In State Approved
3rd and 4th railway lines of 173 km in the Secunderabad-Wadi stretch at a cost of Rs 5,012 crore have been approved under the PM Gati Shakti plan.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today approved four major railway projects worth Rs 12,328 crore, adding 565 km to the Indian Railways network.
The projects aim to enhance connectivity, promote tourism, and improve freight movement across Gujarat, Karnataka, Bihar, Assam and Telangana.
The approved projects are:
Secunderabad (Sanathnagar) - Wadi (Telangana & Karnataka): 3rd and 4th railway lines of 173 km at a cost of Rs 5,012 crore, to support cement industrial units and thermal power plants.
Deshalpar - Hajipir - Luna and Vayor - Lakhpat (Gujarat): New 145 km railway line costing Rs 2,526 crore, including 13 new stations, to connect the Rann of Kutch, Dholavira, Koteshwar temple, Narayan Sarovar and Lakhpat fort.
Bhagalpur - Jamalpur (Bihar): 3rd line of 53 km at a cost of Rs 1,156 crore.
Furkating - New Tinsukia (Assam): 194 km doubling project costing Rs 3,634 crore.
Planned under the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan, these projects are expected to reduce congestion, boost tourism and lower logistics costs.
