TRS leader and government whip M S Prabhakar Rao today hit out at the BJP leaders in the state for their rhetoric against TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Talking to the press, he warned the BJP that it would have to face serious backlash if it did not stop maligning the CM and his government immediately.
Singling out state party head and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Rao accused the latter of belittling the values of politics through his constant "false jibes".
"Sanjay is speaking like a mad person. But the TRS leaders and activists will not stomach such behaviour. He should honour his post and learn to be more polished. Otherwise he will become the butt of much ridicule," he said.
"The BJP is restless to come to power in the state. But if it does, the state will lose FDI and jobs for the youth. The development of the state will also get derailed. How can the party that failed to get even funds for flood relief run the state?" he asked.
The TRS leader also criticised the BJP for making false promises to the people of the state ahead of the GHMC elections.
"The BJP has deceived the flood victims of Hyderabad by not giving them aid worth Rs 25,000 per family after first promising that it would. Instead of indulging in a malicious misinformation campaign, the BJP should work for the people it represents," he said.
The BJP and the TRS have been clashing over several issues recently. Recently, the BJP had even
stormed the Pragathi Bhavan to protests against the TRS regime. And with the Nagarjuna Sagar Assembly seat by-election and the graduates' constituencies MLC elections drawing closer, the exchange of allegations between the two parties is expected to turn even more unpleasant.
