Telangana working president K T Rama Rao said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao would speak in detail at an appropriate time about the MLAs' poaching episode, and that the investigation agencies would speak about the investigation part of the case.
Speaking at a press conference, KTR said that as the case was being investigated by the police it would not be fair to speak about the matter, and that for that reason the party had also directed its leaders not to speak in haste about it.
"If the TRS speaks about the MLAs' poaching case, the opposition parties will allege that the ruling party is influencing the case. In order to avoid the criticism and give a free hand to the police for the investigation of the case, we have decided to desist from speaking on the case. The law will take its own course in the case," he said.
Launching a scathing attack on BJP State unit president Bandi Sanjay for challenging the Chief Minister to prove his innocence in the MLAs' poaching case, KTR said that it was very shameful that the person who had carried the chappals of Union Home Minister Amit Shah was swearing with the same hands at the Yadadri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple.
"And with the surfacing of the audio tapes, the people of the whole world have seen who is a thief. Since the BJP doesn't have any morals and ethics, where is the sanctity for the swearing of Bandi Sanjay?" KTR asked.
