Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today launched his by-election campaign from Tirundlapally of the Munugodu Assembly constituency.
Bandi held road shows in Tirugundlapally and Tunmadapally villages. Speaking on the occasions, he alleged that the TRS leaders were trying to grab lands in Munugodu, and that they were touring each and every village of the constituency to identify lands to encroach. He claimed that the TRS leaders would grab the lands immediately after the by-election.
He also claimed said the ruling party leaders were giving Rs 40,000 for every vote, and that the money being given to the voters was the money earned by the leaders through illegal means. He asked the voters to take the money from the TRS leaders and cast their vote for the BJP in the by-election anyway.
Targeting CM K Chandrashekar Rao, he said that the CM had a litter of broken promises behind him, including giving free double bedroom houses and three acres of agricultural land to all eligible Dalit families, and that he was now making more false promises to win the by-election.
He also alleged that the CM was trying to instigate riots in Munugodu to win the elections after various survey reports showed that his party was going to lose the elections, and after the verdict of the High Court dismissing his petition to cancel the election symbols of eight independents.
