Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today took potshots at the newly-announced national political party of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
Speaking to the media at the State party office at Nampally, Bandi alleged that the CM had come up with his national party as he had become an "invalid rupee" in the eyes of the people of the State.
Bandi said that the BRS was a party without a flag or an agenda, and claimed that even the ruling party leaders and State ministers were not aware of the correct name of the newly-announced party, with some party leaders addressing it as BSP instead of BRS, and others by some other names.
He claimed that the CM had come up with the BRS only to divert the attention of the people of the State from his corruption and incompetence.
He also demanded that the CM quit from his post immediately and fight elections afresh in the name of his new BRS party.
