Several TDP leaders were taken into custody by the city police when they staged a dharna before the camp office of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, at Begumpet on Sunday. They were protesting against the irregularities in the AP Public Service Commission.
The leaders including the likes of P Keshav, Motkupalli Narasimhulu, Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Paritala Sunita, were not allowed by the police to submit a memorandum to the Chief Minister over the APPSC issue. In protest, the leaders squatted at the camp office and raised slogans agaisnt the Chief Minister. However, the leaders and other activists were taken into custody and shifted to the Goshamahal Stadium. They were released later by the police.
The TDP leaders announced that they will raise the issue of irregularities in the APPSC during the budget session of State Legislative Assembly. (INN)
