In the wake of the arrest of Telugu Desam Party national president Chandrababu Naidu, and "attacks on the party rank and file, illegal cases on them and their harassment", the party's main leaders have asked its national general secretary Lokesh to postpone the resumption of his Yuvagalam Padayatra.
The party's AP president Kinjarapu Atchannaidu said that the party had also asked Lokesh to consult lawyers to fight the cases filed against Naidu legally.
Attacking the Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy government, Atchannaidu alleged that the government, despite not being able to show any evidence in the skill development scam case, was making similar false allegations in the inner ring road project and in the fibre grid project, too.
He also said that in addition to the illegal inclusion of Lokesh's name in the inner ring road case, PT warrants were also being issued for Chandrababu Naidu.
He said that given all of those, a decision had been taken in a meeting of the important leaders of the party to postpone the Yuvagalam Padayatra for a few days and to announce the resumption date soon.
