Yes, he has done it. N Chandrababu Naidu has acted on his
intention of meeting the governor in order to lodge a formal complaint against Cabinet ministers who stand accused of being embroiled in various scams and corruption charges.
A delegation of TDP leaders, led by party president N Chandrababu Naidu, met the Governor E S L Narasimhan on Monday, and sought the sacking of corrupt ministers from the state Cabinet.
The delegation met the Governor and submitted a memorandum urging him to sack the ministers who are facing various charges.
Six ministers named in the CBI's chargesheet in Jagan's disproportionate assets case, and four others named in various scams, figure in the memorandum submitted by the delegation. The delegation demanded that these ministers be dropped from the Cabinet immediately.
The request comes close on the heels of the Centre dismissing Railways Minister P Bansal and Law Minister Ashwini Kumar.
Dharmana Prasada Rao and Sabitha Indra Reddy were also amongst the ministers named by the CBI in the chargesheet.
It was alleged by the CBI that Dharmana Prasada was involved in the VANPIC scam, whereby he tried to sell off portions of land allotted to him as part of the VANPIC project, to private companies, in order to recover some monetary losses sustained by him.
Even though Dharmana Prasada had submitted his resignation to the CM, the latter refused to accept it.
Similar is the case with Sabitha Indira Reddy, who was accused of supporting illegal mining operations that were carried out by the Obulapuram Mining Company, as well as being a willing accomplice in the illegal-wealth-amassing tactics of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
Besides these two, there are other ministers who face similar allegations. (INN)
