The CBI, special court, on Monday adjourned the hearing on the bail petition of former minister Mopidevi Venkataramana to July 31.
Mopidevi was arrested by the CBI on May 24, 2012, for his alleged involvement in the VANPIC segment of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy's Disproportionate Assets case.
He has been lodged in Chanchalguda Central jail since his arrest, although he was referred to the Osmania General Hospital, and to the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences on more than one occasion, after he complained of ill-health.
The former Excise Minister is now citing ill-health as one of the reasons for seeking bail. The next hearing on his bail petition will be on July 31. (INN)
