The CBI special court, on Monday, adjourned the hearing on a CBI memo (in which the CBI had sought the judicial custody of former ministers P Sabitha Indra Reddy and Dharmana Prasada Rao) to July 3.
It may be mentioned here that on June 7, the CBI had filed a
memo in the CBI special court, seeking judicial custody of the former ministers.
While Sabitha has been named as an accused in the Dalmia Cements case, Dharmana Prasada Rao is facing charges in the VANPIC case. The CBI had earlier raised apprehensions that the duo might influence the witnesses, as well as the investigation, if they are not sent to judicial remand.
After hearing the case on Monday, the CBI special court adjourned further hearing on the petition to Wednesday. (INN)
