Municipal Sanitation Workers To Get Salary Hike
With pressure to extend the 47% salary hike promised to the GHMC workers to all state sanitation workers mounting, the Telangana government is mulling acceding.
In the wake of the opposition parties mounting pressure for the extension of the 47% salary hike promised to the GHMC sanitation workers to all sanitation workers in the state, the Telangana government is mulling a wage hike.
The government is likely to take a decision on Saturday itself followed by an official report of recommendations.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao during a review meeting with officials asked them to prepare a list of recommendations by Saturday (July 18) morning for taking a decision.
KCR said in a press release that the government is keen on extending the hike to all other sanitary workers in the state. He said that the government is committed to the welfare of these workers.
Earlier, addressing municipal workers at camp office, he said that they would get double bedroom houses in the Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills areas.
"I promised to provide you the permanent shelter in the heart of the city, and 1 lakh houses will be built for the poor every year," he said.
