Telangana ACB Registers 179 Cases In Six Months

The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) registered 179 cases between January and August 2025. These included 108 trap cases, 11 disproportionate assets (DA) cases, 18 criminal misconduct cases, 18 regular inquiries, 21 surprise checks and 3 discreet inquiries.

A total of 167 public servants, including 14 outsourcing employees and private individuals, were trapped or arrested and remanded to judicial custody. The ACB unearthed assets worth Rs 44.30 crore in DA cases and seized Rs 33.12 lakh in trap cases across various departments.

In August 2025 alone the ACB registered 31 cases. These comprised 15 trap cases, 2 DA cases, 3 criminal misconduct cases, 7 regular enquiries and 4 surprise checks. A total of 22 public servants, including four outsourcing employees and private individuals, were arrested and remanded. The bureau unearthed assets worth Rs 5.14 crore in DA cases and seized Rs 2.82 lakh in trap cases.

Regarding case finalisation, 177 cases registered between January and August 2025 were disposed of, with final reports submitted to the government for action. In August, 25 cases were finalised and forwarded to the State government for necessary action.
