Raksha Bandhan was today celebrated at Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's official residence (his camp office). KCR's sisters tied rakhis to him and offered sweets. In turn, the Chief Minister took their blessings by touching their feet, and presented saris to them.
Some women staffers in the camp office also tied rakhis to the Chief Minister.
Elsewhere, Nizamabad MP K Kavitha tied a rakhi to her elder brother and IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao. She also offered a helmet to KTR as part of her "Sisters For Change" program. Later the siblings exchanged sweets and KTR presented his sister a green handloom sari.
