KCR Announces Rs 1,000 Crore Bonus For Singareni Employees

The Telangana CM today announced that the State government would give Rs 1,000 crore in bonus for Dassera and Diwali to the workers of Singareni Colleries.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today announced that the State government would give Rs 1,000 crore in bonus for Dassera and Diwali to the workers of Singareni Colleries.

Addressing the official Independence Day celebrations at Golconda fort, the Chief Minister said that the colleries had turned a loss-making company under the previous governments, and that the BRS government had set things right in the company, resulting in the turnover going up from Rs 12,000 crore to Rs 33,000 crore, and a situation arising where a bonus could now be paid.

Claiming that the Telangana government was paying the highest wages to its employees among all States in India, the CM said that a new PRC would be constituted soon and the salaries of the employees would be increased even further, and that an interim relief would be paid till then.
