Rs. 70 Lakhs For Urdu Ghar Repairs
Minister For Minorities Welfare Md. Ahmadullah ordered the Urdu Academy Director to immediately release Rs. 70 lakhs for the Urdu Ghar restoration work.
Minister For Minorities Welfare, Wakf And Urdu Academy, Mohammed Ahmadullah, on Saturday ordered immediate repairs to the Urdu Ghar at Motigalli in the old city. "The structure can be utilized for the benefit of the Muslim community," Ahmadullah said.
Ahmedullah directed the APHMIDC Executive Engineer to immediately change the roof of the auditorium, increase the height of the dais, arrange false ceilings in the rooms and the auditorium, and to cover the open earth surrounding the building with polished stones.
The District Revenue Officer, Urdu Academy Director, APHMIDC Executive Engineer, District Minorities Welfare Officer and other concerned officials accompanied the Minister on the inspection tour.
Charminar MLA Ahmed Pasha Quadri too was present.
During the inspection tour, the Minister ascertained the repairs required, and physically inspected the area.
Ahmadullah also urged the Urdu Academy Director to immediately release Rs. 70 lakhs for the restoration work. The funds had earlier been sanctioned by the government in favour of the Hyderabad District Collector. (INN)
