Revanth Reddy Launches Indiramma Housing Scheme At Bhadrachalam

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy today launched the prestigious Indiramma housing scheme in Bhadrachalam.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that he was delighted to launch the scheme for the poor in the presence Lord Rama in the temple town.

He also said that the Congress had a special bond with the people of Khammam district, and that that was the reason that the State government had launched the Indiramma housing scheme from the district.

He said that the government had already sanctioned 4,50,000 Indiramma houses at a cumulative cost of Rs 22,500 crore, and that the house pattas would be given in the name of women under the scheme.

"Under the scheme, the government will provide Rs 5 lakh in financial assistance for the beneficiaries to build houses in their own plots. The houses will be sanctioned to all deserving people among the poor," the CM said.

Reddy claimed that the previous chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao had sought votes claiming tof building free double bedroom houses and had then deceived the people. That was the reason that the people of the State had buried the KCR regime, he said, and threw an open challenge to KCR asking him to seek votes in the villages where double bedroom houses had been sanctioned.

"The Congress will also seek votes in the villages where Indiramma houses are being constructed for the poor," Reddy said.

He also asked the Bharathiya Janatha Party to make public the details of houses sanctioned to the poor in Telangana.
